Drinking Games

BucksWeekend.com encourages responsible drinking and strongly reccomends that you drink to enjoy your weekend or night and not to get drunk and to respect the law and the rights of others.

This said, here’s some great ways to make those first cold ones slide down!

Coins

Each participant will need 3 coins
Everybody then places their hands out of sight of the other players and elects to put either none, one, two or all three of these coins into one hand which they then close into a fist so it is unknown to the other players how many coins are in their hand.
All players then place their closed hand containing their chosen number of coins out on the table
You then go around the table where each player then has to guess the total number of coins in the hands of all the players (including themselves).
The person closest without going over is the winner and is eliminated.
This process continues till everyone is eliminated and one person is left who receives the ‘punishment’.
Usually the last player left has to buy a round of shots. But this is by no means set in stone. The punishment could be to say a cheesy line to a barmaid or to a girl at the pub. CLICK HERE to see a list of cheesy lines. Sometimes, the first player eliminated get’s to choose the Drink/Cheesy Line for the last player standing.

Vodka Roulette

A simple drinking game that always goes down well. Literally.

Prepare a shot glass for everyone in the group, all filled with water, except one that you fill with vodka. Now hand out the shots and ask everyone to down in one. One person will have an interesting surprise as they hit the vodka. They step out of the next round.

Repeat the process until you have a single winner.

Circle Of Death
This game will get you drunk. Play with as many people as you like.

First put a deck of cards on the table, and a big glass next to the deck.
Take it in turns to take a card, and follow these rules for each type of card:

- Aces: you make a rule which must be obeyed (e.g. no pointing)
- Kings: you pour any drink into the big glass (spirit, beer etc) for each king - the last king has to drink the cocktail
- Queens: the person to your right has to drink
- Jacks: name types of (e.g. types of beer) until someone can't think of one - they drink
- 10: someone counts to ten whilst you drink, non-stop
- 9 through to 4: you give out that many drinks to one or several people
- 3 and 2: you drink that many drinks yourself

Play until the last king when someone has to drink the cocktail.

3 - Man Drinking Game
This game is for 4+ players and very easy to play.

You need a pair of dice and lots of alcohol.
Everyone must sit around a table (or on the floor if you like).

You start by either nominating a player to be 3-MAN or the person that throws the lowest number after everyone throws is 3-MAN.

Then the person to the left of 3-MAN will start the game by throwing the dice. Every time a 3 is thrown or the dice adds up to 3 - 3-MAN has to take a sip of his drink. Once you have been around the circle back to 3-MAN, he nominates his person to his left - if he throws the dice before nominating he stays 3-MAN for another round.

You can also do the following when these numbers are thrown:

Doubles:
1 - social (everyone takes a drink)
2 to 4 - thrower nominates someone to take that amount of sips (e.g. double 3 - take 3 sips!)
6 - make a rule (like master of thumbs, no swearing, etc).

If you throw a:
7 - the person to your right must drink
11 - the person to your left must drink
5 or double 5 - quickly touch your forehead with your palm - last person to do this drinks (and this adds to the sobering part of the game)!

Every time you throw a 3, double, 7 or 11 you can throw again. And if someone rolls and the dice fall off the table, they have to finish their glass!

The game ends when everyone is too sloshed to carry-on.

Spoof

This game is good to play in bars but can get expensive for the person who loses! Also, as it involves everyone drinking spirits, it often doesn't last very long! Alternatively, rather than everyone drinking on every round, you can change it so that just the loser drinks.

Everyone needs 3 coins (any coins). You all put your hands behind your backs and select 0,1, 2 or 3 coins in your right hand. Keeping your left hand behind your back, present the right hand, without revealing its contents. The aim of the game is to guess how many coins are in the middle. This will depend on how many people there are. For example if there are 4 people there could be a maximum of 12 coins and a minimum of 0.

The leader starts by estimating how many coins are hidden in total in all the hands presented. So if there are 4 players the total could be anywhere between 0 and 12. The leader calls out a number and play moves round to the right, each player calling out in turn. No number may be repeated.

Once everyone has selected a different number, the hands are revealed. The person who correctly guessed the total (if anyone did) drops out. Play resumes, with the person to the left leading, until the ultimate loser is the last man in. It gets quite challenging when there are just two of you left and you're trying to bluff your opponent.

The loser has to buy a round of shots for everyone.

Think While You Drink

Everyone charges their glasses. Someone is nominated to lead.

The leader shouts out a famous name. The person to his right follows with a First Name starting with the first letter of the previous famous person's Surname.

So, going round the table :

"Michael Jackson" could be followed by
"John Lennon" then
"Lionel Richie" then
"Sir Ralph Halpern" etc.

If the first name and last name start with the same letter the flow of play is reversed, so:

"Margaret Thatcher" could be followed by
"Tom Thumb" which would then pass the next go back to the person who said Margaret Thatcher.

Two final rules, you must take a long drink whilst you are thinking - don't stop until you have a new name. People who take a long time to get an answer will come up spluttering, and inevitably will get worse and worse as the drink takes effect. By the way, no names can be repeated.

Additional complications to add in are:

- Any name with "the" in the middle e.g. "Rupert the Bear" incurs a forfeit for the previous player.
- Any name which is a single word like "Prince", "Madonna" also incurs a forfeit for the previous player.
